New York designer Harry Allen has designed Paperwork, the latest collection for Kenneth Cobonpue’s lighting and accessories brand, HIVE.
Launched this month, full details will be released over coming weeks. Modelled using Kozo Paper the table lamp employs papier-mâché techniques and LED illumination to create a nostalgic luminaire that speaks of the past, present, and future.
The lamps fall into Harry Allen’s REALITY series, which consists of objects whose form is “sampled: from existing sources. Harry has never been attracted to overly-formal design. His design process emphasizes the inherent beauty of things – from beauty from concept, beauty from materials, and beauty from structure- REALITY takes his quest one step further and borrows forms from the world around us.

Meet Culdesac.
All of them.
This multidisciplinary collective out of Valenica, Spain are fast cementing their place on the global design scene. Established in 2002 by Francisco Pons, Alberto Martinez, Pepe Garcia and Pilar Roger the CuldeSac concept is to simply embrace the diversity of creative pursuits and through collaboration create memorable experiences, produce definitive products and reinforce iconic brands.
The name CuldeSac means the end of the street of course, but in Valenciano, cul de sac is like the bottom of a woman´s handbag-a place you can find anything and everything mixed. This is what we love.

Their client roll call for the first decade of practice is nothing but impressive and serves as testament to the quality of their work. Commissions for Swarovski, Aston Martin, Tiffany & Co, Lladró and H&M are just some of their highest profile projects.

KE-ZU is honoured to be unveiling Whisper and Atlantic, two impeccable collections the Spaniards have created for US manufacturer Bernhardt Design. With the official launch of Bernhardt Design mid 2012, the impeccable craftsmanship of these two fine design houses will be presented in Australia for the first time. Sitting in the Bernhardt stable alongside works by Arik Levy, Jaime Hayon, Ross Lovegrove and Suzanne Trocme – these pieces are afforded the esteem they are due.

Privacy and a sense of luxury often go hand-in-hand, so it stands to reason that with the prevalence of open-plan homes, wall-free workplaces and vast hospitality venues, we instintively seek to demarcate our own domain.
Designers are heeding the call and rising to the challenge by putting some back into it – literally.

Endeavouring to create miniature retreats within our homes, hotels and workplaces: designers are affording us greater variety in lounging options through the use of high backs and wrapped or winged arms.
Each of the collections pictured here is steeped with the afore mentioned sense of luxury – the pieces take on coccoon-like characteristics that are once is comfortable, sophisticated and intimate.

Today we are pleased to announce the release of “Parchment“, the latest offering from the acclaimed, multi-award winning designer Kenneth Cobonpue.
The Parchment collection visually demonstrates fine layers of wood bearing resemblance to pages of an archaic manuscript.
Employing a natural warping process, the table’s many layers are formed of solid walnut timbers that embody a visual lightness – all resting on a contemporary brushed stainless steel base.
Available in two sizes at dining height.

America’s Elle have announced their “27 most exceptionally designed masterpieces from the runway, for the home and beyond…”
Alongside Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Cartier and Louis Vuitton is the one and only Kenneth Cobonpue! His much lauded Bloom Lounge Chair has been singled out as exceptional design and we couldn’t agree more.
Hundreds of fine-running stitches radiate from the center of this whimsical chair, which makes us feel like we’ve fallen down the rabbit hole..
Already awarded the “Coup de Coeur” at Maison et Objet 2009 in Paris, this luscious collection also includes a more compact club chair.
